Artist Bio

Lisa Greene is a junior at Murray State University and lives in Cadiz, KY with her family. She was born in Buffalo, New York in 1976 and met her husband, Michael Greene, at Frontier High School, where they attended together. They had a son in 1995 and got married in 1998. They moved to the Clarksville, TN area in 1999 when Michael was stationed at Fort Campbell. After almost seven years, they moved to Fort Campbell, where they stayed until Michael retired from the military in 2016. They bought a home in Cadiz, KY in 2010, and a few years later, they adopted another son. 
Lisa Greene is a talented artist who finds inspiration in a wide variety of sources. She believes that art should not necessarily have a political message, but rather should simply be beautiful or thought-provoking in its own right. Lisa's ultimate goal is to open her own art gallery, where she can showcase her own work as well as that of other artists who may not have access to traditional gallery settings. Lisa has been self-taught for most of her life, thanks in part to the encouragement of her family, who are also talented artists. She has passed on her love of art to her two sons and continues to hone her craft through independent and academic study.
